What is ARAI certified AIS 140 Standards?
As a part of improving the safety of Public Transport System in India, The Government of India has taken the initiative to implement Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
As per the rule The Government mandates AIS 140 certification for all public service vehicles including public and private transport buses, taxis, cabs and school buses.
These vehicles will need to have a GPS tracking system, camera surveillance and an emergency button. This will help the department in tracking the bus in case of any emergency
